Back from Vacation!

This was the first time I didn't want to return home from holiday - this place is so amazing, so vintage so....me! Karpenissi, in the heights of the Greek mountains, is full of stone-built little villages, running waters (drinkable,mmm..) and lots of vintage stuff I discovered in a small local store! If it was up to me I'd buy the whole place - by the way the owner's selling it to return to the States - but as it was our last vacation day,we'd already spent almost all our budget, so I settled for some gorgeous genuinely vintage keys,after a lot of careful searching and examining each one of them.Here's a shot:

Before discovering those beautiful keys, I found (I'm getting real good at this finding thing),an absolutely amazing red Mercedes Bus from the 50's or 60's and my sweet hubby took some shots with me in them,but the best shot is the one I took -there's only room for one artist in the family,honey- and it's:

Finally, my new eshop is ready!

It's been so long since the last time I checked in, it was probably still 2012...but now, I'm back! Yep, even more handcrafted antique jewelry and ...no more craft shows.Cause finally, after 1 year and 15 days, my new eshop is ready! artedeum.com is alive and kicking, (and waiting for more boring computer work-why can't it just be done by itself?technology isn't as advanced as it seems)

I'm so happy, I couldn't sleep the first night!

I know it's a bit late, but this was a Christmas rut like never before - just got back on track,now!
After all this cooking, baking and mainly eating ,it's time for work and  new plans - yep, I'm expanding
my dynamic and setting new goals for 2013 . One of them is, to take lessons : Sewing is  first on my list - I'd
love to make pretty ,cute little skirts and dresses for my girl ,like these from  Vintagepearlclothing on etsy.

Is summer over yet?

Don't get me wrong - I love summer, but can't wait for long cloudy days all locked up , just working, creating and designing new stuff !

Till then, I'm just improving some old designs and I think they look much better now !

So many ideas,so little time....

And I thought it's hard to get a new idea ...nope, it's hard to find the TIME for it,

and for all the others, also. How do you decide what to do first?

There's not enough hours in a day, as any mum will assure you !

The best advice I've ever heard, was from a pro-mum (three kids in their twenties,and 

two of them happily married,well, that makes you a pro in mumming!)

She said " I never leave things in the middle - when I pick the dry laundry, i  iron it,too.

When we've had lunch, I do the dishes immediately. If something is misplaced, I don't 

throw it aside until its' time,  I'll reposition it right away." Good  advice , even though it doesn't 

specify what you do when a whining kid pulls you and another  spills cream on you..

Anyway, I tried to do it.  By the second hour I couldn't believe all the mess I had to tidy

up right away, so I panicked and made myself some coffee ,till later when I'd be 'prepared'

pschycologically for this heavy burden. As you guessed I never finished my chores, but 

I imagined some cool designs and got creative instead ! here they are - my new vintage

series!

Second Craft Show!!

I'm just getting used to it and it's really exciting!
Second craft show and even though our country's going
through some rough times , there was a lot of fun and
selling and meeting wonderful new people!

First Craft Show ever !!!

I know it's been a while, but I was just at my first ever craft show!!!
Wow!!! I can't possibly describe how exciting it was and all the fun I've
had , all the great people I met - love you girls!!!
And all this while selling !! Ok, so here's the story..


Day One
Pretty confused, I'd never participated in anything
like this before , and although I did a lot of research, when I got there,
my  "not-exactly-booth-but-more-of-a-table" was a bit ugly....black...
and totally mismatched my designs...but, even like this, I made
enough sales to get me excited! So....on


Day Two
The moment I woke up, I ran to my local crafts shop and bought a nice,
WHITE background for my jewelry and  redecorated a bit.
Still, competition was much more organized and set up nicely, and my
place didn't look as good , but, I made so many sales I couldn't believe it!
Went home with absolutely swollen feet and a silly smile on my face!!!
I'm posting some pics from my table at the show (not of me,though)
and from a friend who helped !!

The pictures are from the first day, with the black jewelry display...don't have any from the
second day, but I'll make sure I get some at my next craft show which is pretty soon!!
